The story is set 12 years after the previous events. Humanity has discovered the existence of both Vampires and Lycans and launched "The Purge," a genocidal campaign to exterminate them. After being held in cryogenic suspension at Antigen Labs, Selene awakens to find she has a daughter, Eve, who is a powerful hybrid. Together with a new ally, David (played by Theo James), she must protect Eve from Lycans who want to use her DNA to create a "Super Lycan" immune to silver.
